The price of social advertising has been rising steadily through the year until Q4 where companies aim to boost end of year sales and hit targets or advertise their holiday deals. However, when comparing year on year, the price change is very much showing the average cost is rising. The rise is coming from the increasing importance of social media and its ability to target profiles. Facebook is as expected the leader in the field despite LinkedIn and Twitter being the most expensive options. It can draw from its massive user base, and strong ability to target profiles through the wealth of information people reveal about themselves on the platform. The price of social ads will probably increase over time, but advertisers will likely not mind as the quality of the views continues to increase.
