Chart of the Day: Apple vs Alphabet Market Capitalisation

 1 min read /

Alphabet recently became the world’s most valuable company overtaking Apple. The last time Google was more valuable than Apple was in February 2010 when both companies were worth less than $200 billion. Apple’s main problem is its reliance on the iPhone which accounts for two-thirds of its revenue but faces drastically declining sales growth. Meanwhile, Google is convincing investors that as it transitions from the web to mobile, it will maintain its dominance and has already captured 32 percent of the mobile ad market.
