Apple Gives Some App Developers A Bigger Slice Of Revenues

Apple is making the biggest change to the App Store’s pricing structure in its eight-year history, offering more generous revenue-share terms for long-term subscriptions and introducing paid search advertising for the first time.

Trader’s remarks: Any application that offers an ongoing service or is regularly updated will receive 85% of subscription revenue after a customer has been paying for more than a year. The App Store, along with other digital services such as Apple Music and iCloud, have become increasingly important to Apple’s revenues as sales of iPhones and iPads have declined in recent months.
