Elon Musk’s company hit a quarterly record of 25,000 cars produced in the first three months of this year.
Editor’s Remarks: Tesla Inc’s production boost comes as it pulls out of a mire of delays in the previous quarter. An increase in vehicle deliveries of almost 70% from the same period last year underlines the company’s rapid growth, which can only speed up further if it pulls off the launch of its mid-market Model 3 sedan in the US later this year. Tesla is doing fine for now, too, expecting Model S and Model X deliveries in the first half of 2017 to total almost 50,000, and having already seen its shares soar by almost one-third so far this year.
